Medical science can now replace over 40% of our bodies when things go wrong and being able to replace over 90% is believed to be only 30 years away. Implications will be that the retirement age of 65 will become irrelevant.
Many can expect to work well into their 70s, firstly because their physical abilities will allow them to and secondly because we will live 20-30 years in retirement and simply won't be able to afford to give up our incomes at 65.
