What is it?
Building Customised Solutions
Personal Financial Planning is a six step process that you and your Authorised Financial Adviser work through together. It combines knowledge and expertise of an experienced and qualified financial professional with the sophistication and objectivity of computer modelling where appropriate.
- First, we collect and analyse data provided by you covering personal information, personal goals, and attitude to risk and financial information.
- Next, we identify any real or potential financial problems based on the data collected.
- We identify and discover your financial goals, objectives and priorities. Your needs may fall into categories like these for example:
- if you are retired - to maximise your cash flow
- to help lower taxes if possible
- to prepare for a financially independent retirement
- to fund education expenses
- to increase your net worth
- to use insurance effectively (risk management)
- Then, we'll provide a written report or advise verbally, as you prefer, on your objectives and priorities.
- We co-ordinate and implement the recommendations after they have been discussed and agreed upon.
- Finally we provide periodic reviews and plan updates based on what you require and request. Annual reviews are recommended for which a fee may be charged.
Sometimes we do business on a transaction only basis which means we may arrange an investment or insurance product as requested by you with little or no advice from us.
